How Does AHP’s Height Prediction Work?

Once your appointment is booked, upon arrival at our offices, it takes about 15 minutes of your time.

Here’s how it works:

  1. AHP measure’s your child’s current height to the nearest 1/8th inch, using our state-of-the-art stadiometer.
  2. AHP’s x-ray technician takes a single image of your child’s left hand
  3. Using the x-ray, your child’s date of birth, and current height, and AHP’s cutting-edge technology, we calculate your child’s average Greulich-Pyle bone age by measuring 21 growth plates using proprietary software.
  4. Once the average bone-age is determined, AHP’s proprietary models calculate how much growth your child has left before reaching their adult height.
  5. Within days, AHP emails you a detailed report in a password-protected file with your child’s adult height projection.
